Dan Hamby's Bio

Dan Hamby, a broadcast and home entertainment executive with more than 35 years experience developing content and distribution strategies, is a consultant to Acorn Brands, a division of RLJ Entertainment. In this role, Hamby works with producers and clients in commercial and public television in the areas of television production, acquisition, program development, distribution and licensing. Hamby has worked with such leaders in production, licensing and distribution as NPR, Turner Broadcasting, Warner Home Video, ITV Studios, Cookie Jar Entertainment, Sesame Workshop, BBC Worldwide Americas, Time Life, Gaiam/Vivendi Entertainment and Agatha Christie Ltd, as well as renowned independent filmmakers, including Bill Moyers, Ken Burns, Ric Burns, David Leaf, David Grubin and Cameron Crowe to bring their award-winning programming to consumers and educators.
